Job Title * : Shipper/Receiver
Short Description :

The shipping and receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.


  • Inventory maintenance/control
  • Pick & kit orders for production use
  • Logistics inquiries/quotes as needed
  • Minor assembly work where needed
  • Lift heavy material by hand on occasion (safely and with help when necessary)
  • Coordinate maintenance of tooling in warehouse/production
  • Communicate with various departments or outside personnel verbally, electronically while maintaining professional decorum
  • Operate forklift truck, hand jigger, or crane to move product for shipping, receiving, or general purposes, or to help other departments when/where required
  • Occasional buying of goods, or coordinating of, for general production/warehouse use (remotely or in person at store transporting via company vehicle)
  • Use of computer system to coordinate flow of orders, receivings, shipments, transport coordination, information processing, etc
  • Maintain work area(s) to ensure they are neat, clean, and efficient at all times, complying with procedures, rules and regulations of the company
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results alone or with personnel from other departments as required
  • Maintain safe working conditions and keep stockroom and related areas clean and organized
  • Manage workload and time efficiently to minimize delays to customers and/or internal departments
  • indoor/outdoor general maintenance as required
  • Acting First aid representative
  • Pre-authorized overtime will be required from time to time depending on the urgency or volume of related work
  • Other special tasks/duties as assigned on an as needed basis
Long Description :


  • incoming inspection and verification,
  • process paperwork,
  • record and advise when receiving quality is questionable or if quantities do not match our purchase order
  • process receiving in computer system
  • store or distribute goods as required,
  • Load/unload transports using forklift or safest means possible to avoid injury
  • Direct delivery trucks and help drivers unload goods
  • Process RMAs at incoming advise appropriate personnel accordingly
  • General receiving work
  • Control inventory in stores area
  • other related task as needed/directed


  • Determine most efficient method of shipping,
  • advise if customer’s or Sales’ choice of transport choice is incorrect, offer solutions/options
  • Prepare shipments (Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped securely to prevent damage during transport, and attach packing slips, etc)
  • Load/unload transports using forklift or safest means possible to avoid injury
  • Coordinate transports for shipments (online or by phone, fill waybills as needed, print supporting documents for the shipment)
  • Direct delivery trucks and help drivers unload goods
  • Use of small power tools to perform required tasks
  • General shipping work
  • other related tasks as needed/directed
Education : High School or better
Job description :

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the timely movement of goods in and out of the WATTCO Factory, and for
keeping accurate records of inventory.

Requirements :
  • High School diploma.
  • Excellent Forklift Skills.
  • Proven computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be a self starter, abitity to work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Requirements: fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, attention to detail and Safety Policies, hand-eye co-ordination, bending, crouching, kneeling. Able to lift up to 70 LBS unassisted
